Maison Willert
Maison Willert is a delightful 19th century stone house in the picturesque village of Lescun. Several writers and artists (including, some people say, Henri Matisse) have stayed here and been inspired by the surrounding landscape.

Today, Maison Willert is spread over three floors, and the animals have been swapped for a more modern heating system. Nevertheless, two traditional hearths have been retained for visitors who prefer to watch a roaring fire instead of satellite television.
If you enjoy cooking, you'll love the brobdingnagian kitchen and dining room. (If your idea of a holiday is an untouched stove, fear not; there are several excellent restaurants in the area, including one that's a five minute stroll from the front door).
The kitchen is at the very heart of Maison Willert. A separate sitting room on the first floor provides a sanctuary for reading, writing and contemplation.
The four bedrooms and two bathrooms are spread over the first and second floors, providing plenty of privacy for eight people.
Single beds in two rooms provide accommodation for children or last-minute guests.

How do you like your steak cooked? On summer nights, fire up the BBQ on the south-facing terrace as the sun goes down.

We apologise, but smoking inside Maison Willert is not possible. The only pets we are able to accommodate are guide dogs.
When it’s time to leave Lescun, Pau airport is a short 90 minute drive, and Toulouse is just three hours away.
Pau can also be reached by a combination of public transport and taxi. And of course, many trekkers arrive and depart on foot.
1% of rental fee income from Maison Willert goes to The Deboché Initiative.
